Let's Start from the Beginning.

Hello my wonderful readers! I'm Whitney and I am currently a 24 year old, married, SAHM of twins. I'm not 100% sure why I started this blog but I have a lot I think I would love to talk about since my kiddos are just 9 months old. I'm sure life is about to get more funny and more hectic. Let me catch you up...
I married my high school sweetie, Jerry, on December 18th 2004. It was a Christmas wedding and we spent our short honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. We were young, 18 & 19 so kids were not a priority, but certainly were in the future. Right at 6 years of marriage, we decided that we were ready for a family. I mean we only had a cat the whole 6 years. Two months later I found out I was pregnant. January 30th 2010 to be exact. I wanted to keep it a secret until February 8th, which is Jerry's birthday, but I couldn't handle that so I told him that night. We had our first ultrasound on February 23rd 2010. That was the day the whole game changed. We were ready for 1 baby, but 2? Needless to say I thought I was gonna have to pick Jerry up off the floor. Time passed and then May 4th 2010 came. That was the day of my gender ultrasound. We were terribly excited. That day I heard the words I had been praying for. "Baby A is a boy and Baby B is a girl".
That summer passed slowly. I was miserable. With the remodel of the house, working 40+ hours a week, the Alabama heat and swelling to where my ankles and thighs were the same size was just about to kill me, but I did have an awesome baby shower in August!
The twins' final due date was October 1st. Never made it. On August 26th 2010, I went in for a regular OB appointment and they discovered one baby's fluid was low, so they sent me to L&D to be monitored. THANKFULLY, I was released and told go back to my OB on September 1st and they were more than likely going to take them that day. I had a hectic weekend.
On Wednesday September 1st 2010, I went in for another OB appointment, fluid was still low, we were having babies that day, Blue+Pink=Lavender. A few hours later I found myself back in L&D but this time, not leaving pregnant. That afternoon, I was wheeled back to the OR. I didn't want a c-section, but both babies were breech. Then at 6:09 PM, Kaleb Lawson Jones was born weighing 5lbs 4oz, 18 3/4 inches long & at 6:10 PM, Isabella {Bella} Faye Jones was born weighing 4lbs 12oz, 18 inches long. They were perfect and no NICU! We were all released on Labor Day.
I have learned so much since that day. They are such smart, silly babies. I lovingly refer to them as my monkey and my bug, my lovies. They are my everything. Since their birth, I left my job. It was a hard decision seeing as I worked for the county, but worth it in every way. Everyday around here is a new experience.
This blog will most likely be all about my kiddos and all we do and I am sure I will think of random things as well!
