Rainy Days & Tuesdays?

Today has been one of those days where you realized you have a TON to do but it's stormy out and you just wanna be lazy. Yea, unfortunately I have been doing a lot of that lately. I just feel BLAH. I, honestly, would rather sit around and be a home body than do ANYTHING. Lack of funds also hinders anything exciting in my life. Kiddos cannot walk on their own, just yet. They can walk with a walker so it's just a matter of time. I feel that we will be able to do more once they can walk. I won't have to tote them everywhere and we can go to the park without the use of Jerry. I've researched my 'feelings' and talked to some of the ladies on BabyGaga (which is a Mommy forum. JOIN! I LOVE IT!) and it seems PPD can last or develop upwards of a year. I've also found out that maybe I am not getting enough sunlight with being inside with the kids. Plus it's been EXTRA hot this year. So maybe I am lacking Vitamin D which makes you feel down and/or depressed. I've also come to terms with not having many friends. I can't just go out, which is fine, but the spur of the moment lunch when I have someone to watch the kids should be OK. Again, lacking funds. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my kiddos but like this past weekend, do you know how therapeutic it was to go to the shooting range and shoot a .22 pistol? Yea, it was a freaking blast. I need more me time. Usually my 'me' time is going to Wal-Mart alone. I was REALLY looking forward to going to the beach this summer but it looks like I am yet again stuck here in podunk Alabama. Maybe we can at least take the kids to the aquarium. Just to get out of this area for a day or 2. Come August, I have not been further than an hour away from home in 2 years. I think it's about time.
In other news, today Kaleb and Bella ate WHOLE peas for the 1st time. Bella tore 'em up! Kaleb didn't really care for them, but he will eat peas baby food.

She's like her mommy. Give me some peas and Taters and I'm in heaven. Especially if my Nanny made them. I would give just about anything for some of her Chicken just one more time. :)
But I have cloths to fold and Jerry is staring at me a hole through me for this computer. Sucks having to share.

Water Time

The kids are 9 months old now. It would be kind of pointless to upload lots of pictures from over that time span. But I have some ADORABLE ones I took last night of them in the bath tub. They have, as of lately, been throwing tantrums when they get a bath, but last night they played!! Also, since we are discussing water, I thought I would share a few of them in their kiddy pool at Nonnie's. (My mom)

Bella's birthday outfit?

The irony of the outfit being a BUG, and saying ISABELLA is just slapping me in the face. Just needs to say 1 instead of 2.

How could I??

I left someone very important out.... to complete the Jones Family... this is Loki. He's been apart of our family since January 2005. He's awesome!

Let's Start from the Beginning.

Hello my wonderful readers! I'm Whitney and I am currently a 24 year old, married, SAHM of twins. I'm not 100% sure why I started this blog but I have a lot I think I would love to talk about since my kiddos are just 9 months old. I'm sure life is about to get more funny and more hectic. Let me catch you up...
I married my high school sweetie, Jerry, on December 18th 2004. It was a Christmas wedding and we spent our short honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. We were young, 18 & 19 so kids were not a priority, but certainly were in the future. Right at 6 years of marriage, we decided that we were ready for a family. I mean we only had a cat the whole 6 years. Two months later I found out I was pregnant. January 30th 2010 to be exact. I wanted to keep it a secret until February 8th, which is Jerry's birthday, but I couldn't handle that so I told him that night. We had our first ultrasound on February 23rd 2010. That was the day the whole game changed. We were ready for 1 baby, but 2? Needless to say I thought I was gonna have to pick Jerry up off the floor. Time passed and then May 4th 2010 came. That was the day of my gender ultrasound. We were terribly excited. That day I heard the words I had been praying for. "Baby A is a boy and Baby B is a girl".
That summer passed slowly. I was miserable. With the remodel of the house, working 40+ hours a week, the Alabama heat and swelling to where my ankles and thighs were the same size was just about to kill me, but I did have an awesome baby shower in August!
The twins' final due date was October 1st. Never made it. On August 26th 2010, I went in for a regular OB appointment and they discovered one baby's fluid was low, so they sent me to L&D to be monitored. THANKFULLY, I was released and told go back to my OB on September 1st and they were more than likely going to take them that day. I had a hectic weekend.
On Wednesday September 1st 2010, I went in for another OB appointment, fluid was still low, we were having babies that day, Blue+Pink=Lavender. A few hours later I found myself back in L&D but this time, not leaving pregnant. That afternoon, I was wheeled back to the OR. I didn't want a c-section, but both babies were breech. Then at 6:09 PM, Kaleb Lawson Jones was born weighing 5lbs 4oz, 18 3/4 inches long & at 6:10 PM, Isabella {Bella} Faye Jones was born weighing 4lbs 12oz, 18 inches long. They were perfect and no NICU! We were all released on Labor Day.
I have learned so much since that day. They are such smart, silly babies. I lovingly refer to them as my monkey and my bug, my lovies. They are my everything. Since their birth, I left my job. It was a hard decision seeing as I worked for the county, but worth it in every way. Everyday around here is a new experience.
This blog will most likely be all about my kiddos and all we do and I am sure I will think of random things as well!
